Limbaugh And The NFL
I learned a long time ago that there are only three rules in business:
- Everything is on the table until it’s not
- Money does all the talking
- There’s nothing personal; it’s just business
If you cut through all the emotion on whether Rush Limbaugh should be allowed to be part owner of the St. Louis Rams, it all really comes down to this:
- The NFL is a corporation.
- The corporation is not going to do anything that will damage the corporation (i.e. cause it to lose money).
- If the corporation believes Limbaugh will be good for the corporation, he will become part owner of the Rams.
- If the corporation believes Limbaugh will damage the corporation, he won’t become part owner of the Rams.
- If the jury is out, he will be advised to try again another time, and he will be told what baggage he needs to get rid of and what positives he needs to build on.
All the rest is just background noise.
